Finally! Snowed all last night – about a foot of new snow today (and it’s still coming down, at noon). There will be snowshoeing this winter after all! We spent a good chunk of the morning clearing snow from the driveway and from the balcony/deck that runs around three sides of the house. My partner also helped someone who was stuck at the top of our hill, and while he was out there the mail delivery woman came by and said she was packing it in. Apparently the snowplow, which does the side roads like ours, is broken down, further down the road. None of the school buses were running today so finally a lot of local kids got a snow day. As far as I’m concerned the snow can keep on coming for a while yet … I’ve already shaped the snow at the end of the deck into “steps”, so I can get up to the top of the snow on my snowshoes. Yippee!
