The village of Kenabeek disappeared after the train station closed in the 1950’s, but the name remains for an area of Canadian shield rock, forest and farmland in Northeastern Ontario. We’re 30 k (20 miles) from the town of Temiskaming Shores and only about half that distance to the village of Earlton. This blog is written in a log house on 67.5 acres of rock and forest, which includes at last count 8 or 10 separate gardens, large and small.
